Dr. Maya Angelou (1928-2014) is a name that brings to mind a multitude of feelings for many. A compelling example of determination, perseverance, and turning life's circumstances it into something precious, she made history and set the bar in many areas. From getting a job as San Francisco's first black female cable car conductor at the young age of 15 to having the honor of reading her poem "On the Pulse of Morning" at a presidential inauguration, she seemed to accomplish anything set before her.
